Two injured in a blast near a police station in Pune - News Spear





Pune: Two persons were injured in a blast near a police station on Pune on Thursday. The blast occurred at a parking lot near the Farshkhana police station, 500 km away from a famous Ganapati temple.
ATS sources said it was a low intensity blast and said the reason for the explosion was yet to be ascertained. One of the motorbikes parked at the parking lot was severely damaged in the blast. Sources said that the possibility of some suspicious material hidden in the glove compartment of the mobike was not ruled out. However, this will be ascertained only after a thorough investigation, the sources added. A police team and a bomb squad reached the spot, which was cordoned off.
Police teams are combing the PCOs near the area so that any suspicious call made before or after the blast can be traced. It’s not clear whether there is any terror link to the blast.
