Mumbai: State of the art Mumbai Metro gave city what suburban railway could not in its historic existence. It gave the citizens travelling an opportunity for a ‘rain dance’ – as many tweets that went viral stated for the pouring it gave them from its Air Conditioning ducts.
Tweets and comments that went viral soon after even called it metro’s humble attempt at ‘rain water harvesting’ – something city often discussed but never got down to doing to resolve its water woes. The city’s first heavy showers that until recently exposed ill preparedness of the civic and railway authorities poked holes in a service that went over ground too.
Some tweets did not express surprise while stating that the trains were “China made”. Metro train started giving out rain water instead of fresh air from the air-conditioning system at around 11 am on Thursday morning, when it was pouring all over Mumbai
